University of Utah - Dreamers & DACA Scholars
SCHOLARSHIPS FOR DACA, HB 144 AND UNDOCUMENTED STUDENTS IN UTAH
It is our great pleasure to announce The Clark and Christine Ivory Dream Access Scholarship! The Clark and Christine Ivory Dream Access Scholarship has been established to support the access, retention, and graduation of undocumented students at the University of Utah. This scholarship grants multiple awards valued at $1000-$2000 each for Spring 2018. We are extremely grateful and excited for the generous support of the Clark and Christine Ivory Foundation, and we look forward to continuing working together in supporting Dreamers in Utah!
 The Clark and Christine Ivory Dream Access Scholarship
Deadline: January 14, 2018
Requirements: The Clark and Christine Ivory Dream Access Scholarship has been established to the access, retention, and graduation of undocumented students at the University of Utah. Open to undocumented students (with or without DACA) who graduated from a Utah high school. Student must be an incoming or continuing University of Utah undergraduate student in pursuit of their first undergraduate degree. Student must demonstrate satisfactory progress toward a degree with a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher. Preference will be given to students who demonstrate financial need.

Below, please find a list of scholarship opportunities for undocumented students (with and without DACA) with deadlines in January and February.

The Clark and Christine Ivory Dream Access Scholarship
Deadline: January 14, 2018
Requirements: The Clark and Christine Ivory Dream Access Scholarship has been established to the access, retention, and graduation of undocumented students at the University of Utah. Open to undocumented students (with or without DACA) who graduated from a Utah high school. Student must be an incoming or continuing University of Utah undergraduate student in pursuit of their first undergraduate degree. Student must demonstrate satisfactory progress toward a degree with a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher. Preference will be given to students who demonstrate financial need.

ACLU of Utah Youth Activist Scholarship
Deadline: January 22, 2018
Requirements: Be a current Utah high school senior planning on entering an accredited college or university as a full-time, degree-seeking student. A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (If the GPA is less than 3.0, the applicant is still eligible but must submit an explanation for the lower GPA).  Have proof of strong commitment to civil liberties through some form of activism addressing such issues as equality, racial justice, free speech, religious freedom, tolerance, and privacy.

Chicana/o Scholarship Fund
Deadline: January 31, 2018
Requirements: Student must have been admitted to the University of Utah as a full-time undergraduate or graduate student. Student must be a resident of the state of Utah or have lived in Utah for a minimum of five (5) years. Dreamer (with or without DACA) applying for the Chicana/o Scholarship Fund must have graduated from a high school in Utah. Preference will be given to students involved in the Chicana/o / Latina/o community.

Jameson Family Scholarship

Deadline: February 16, 2018 (5:00 PM)
Requirements: Student must have been admitted to the University of Utah as an H.B. 144 student and have completed at least one year at the University of Utah. The Jameson Family Scholarship looks for motivated students who have been involved in leadership and/or community activities, have a good academic record, have financial need, and are enrolled as full-time students at the time the award is used. Preference will also be given to (a) students who are majoring in the College of Social and Behavioral Science, (b) students who have been involved in leadership and/or community activities, and (c) students who have applied for Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), although the scholarship eligibility will not be limited to these students alone.
