Deborah Bayle Scholarship Fund for Youth United Way of Salt Lake is proud to continue, for the second year, the Deborah Bayle Scholarship Fund for Youth. As a community leader and business influence for nearly four decades, Deborah made a significant impact in her 16 years as President and CEO of United Way of Salt Lake. During her tenure at United Way, she courageously led the transformation of the organization to focus on changing the odds for kids and families in our communities. She retired as President and CEO of United Way in 2015. At that time, the Board of Directors of United Way of Salt Lake created a legacy to recognize her leadership by naming a scholarship fund in her honor to benefit those students whose lives have been directly impacted by the organization’s Collective Impact work. The scholarship fund will grant up to six $5,000 scholarships in 2017 for full-time, post-secondary studies. The funds for the scholarships will be distributed through the educational institutions and must be used for direct educational expenses, including tuition, fees, and books. The selection committee may grant additional scholarships at its discretion. Deadline: March 8th
